Introduction

Biennials and Triennials are art exhibitions regularly held every two or three years, in various cities all over the world. They have become a common platform for artists (and the cities) to garner international attention.

Much media coverage has been given to the larger contemporary art exhibitions such as the popular Venice Biennale. Biennials and triennials showcase not only contemporary art but also design, architecture, music and photography.

This resource guide will help you find information on contemporary art biennials and triennials at the Lee Kong Chian Reference Library.
