Introduction

This library resource guide is prepared for the Bear Fruit Digital Filmmaking Workshop 'digital sho(r)ts', organized by the National Library Board Singapore.

‘digital sho(r)ts’ is a two-part workshop specially designed for adults and students who have an interest in filmmaking, or aspire to be a professional filmmaker. It was conducted by Lionel Chok, an Associate Artist at the Substation. The workshop aims to provide aspiring filmmakers with pointers on how to conceptualize a story and practical techiniques such as shooting and editing to make their first short film at the end of the two sessions.

This guide supports the workshop with resources for further reading, to help local filmmakers continue to learn how to achieve success in their filming careers.
