Introduction

This library resource guide is prepared for the Bear Fruit Digital Music Workshop 'MUSIC MATTERS', organized by the National Library Board Singapore.

The workshop aims to bring together young aspiring musicians with a burning desire to share their music with the world. In this series of workshops, Producer /Composer Roland Lim shares tips, tricks, the knitty gritty and the mindset required to achieve success. 

Participants learn to develop the right mindset and work ethic to achieve success; relevant and crucial musical skills to make an impact; entrepreneurship skills to make music their career; as well as the marketing and law knowledge required to succeed in the industry.

This guide supports the workshop with resources for further reading, to help local musicians continue to learn how to achieve success in their music careers.
