Introduction

This series of library guides aims to support the history and social studies subjects taught in the schools in Singapore. The titles (both in print and electronic formats) selected and recommended by reference librarians serve as supplementary resources and reading materials for teachers.

Readers who are interested in the history, heritage and social issues of Singapore will also find relevant resources on these topics highlighted in the guides.

We thank the Ministry of Education, Curriculum Planning & Development Division (Humanities Branch) for their invaluable advice  on these guides.
