Introduction
Interior design is a practice concerning the visual and atmospheric enhancement of an interior space. The different uses of a space – whether for work or play - are optimised with good interior design concepts. There are two categories for interior design in general: residential or commercial. As an industry profession it is quite recent, having begun in the early 20th century, but the skills required of an interior designer are becoming specialised nowadays, as materials technology increase.
This Resource Guide serves as a guide to help you locate resources on interior design and decoration available at the Lee Kong Chian Reference Library as well as on the Internet.
