Tay Kheng Soon (郑庆顺, b. 1940, Singapore - ) graduated from the Singapore Polytechnic and began career as an architect in 1964. As a founding member of Design Partnership with William Lim Siew Wai and Koh Seow Chuan upon the dissolution of the Malayan Architects Co-Partnership in 1967, he also became chairman of the Singapore Planning and Urban Research Group (SPUR), an independent group interested in urban planning, in 1970.

In 1973, Tay Kheng Soon left the Design Partnership and formed Akitek Tenggara three years later.  He was a Visiting Scholar under the Aga Khan Program at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1986 and 1989 and became a Research Fellow with the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies.  From 1991 to 1993, Tay Kheng Soon was President of the Singapore Institute of Architects and later took up the post of Adjunct Professor of Architecture at the RMIT of Australia in 1997, and at the National University of Singapore a year later.  He won the SIA Gold Medal in 2010, being the fifth recipient of the award.

In 1989, he published 'Mega-cities in the Tropics'.  He collaborated with Robert Powell to release the book, 'Line, Edge and Shade', in 1997.

His other activities outside of his architectural practice include chairing the Task Force for the Long-term Development of the Singapore National Museum and the Committee on Heritage for the Singapore Advisory Council on Culture and the Arts.

This online resource guide compiles resources that can be found in the National Library of Singapore's collections and elsewhere on the World Wide Web that are written by Tay Kheng Soon or documents his considerably large body of works.  In the interest of encouraging research, it is hoped that this guide may serve as a useful tool to all architectural students and researchers.
